Meet Maryam 

Maryam Karimi is one of our amazing instructors from Gold's Gym West Covina. She is passionate about fitness and loves working with Gold's Gym members!

Facts about Maryam

Why do you love Gold's Gym? 

Gold's Gym is a great company that is supportive and is passionate about helping members achieve their fitness goals. I really love our members; we're like a big family.

What is your goal with members?

My goal is to motivate and encourage our members to take care of their body and mind. I want to make exercise fun for everyone. My favorite part about teaching is seeing progress, changes and confidence in members. I want people to feel challenged and leave feeling that they accomplished something.

What should members expect in your class?

Members should expect a safe, intense, sweaty and fun workout!

What is your favorite fitness class?

I love all my classes.

What song gets you most pumped up during your workout?

I have lot of songs to pick from but the one that pumps me up lately is “Our Origin” by RPM82.

What's your favorite workout attire?

I like to wear Gold’s Gym and Reebok LesMills clothing and shoes. 

What is something no one knows about you?

Something that not a lot of people know about me is that at heart I am a country girl. I am in love with going to the farm, lake and family events.

What is your favorite healthy/cheat meal? 

My favorite healthy meal is chicken or salmon. My favorite cheat meal is all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I feel inspired by the participants who come to my classes.

What do you like to do when you're not at the gym?

I like to hike, bike or run at the beach.

Tell us about your morning and night routine

I start every morning grateful. After, I drink coffee. Before bed I practice mindfulness meditation for about 10 minutes.

What's something that many people may not know about you?

I speak Farsi and Italian and I have 7 siblings.

Describe your perfect day 

I like to rest and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
