Get to know Kamila:

Where are you from?

I am from Northbrook, Illinois.

What are your certifications?

NFPT Certified and dotFIT certified.

What is your training style?

My training style depends on the client’s goals and how often they come see me. For example, if someone is training for weight loss, I like to do circuits or supersets that target the whole body (upper, lower, core), and sometimes I incorporate a little bit of cardio. I like to make every session with each client challenging and informative.

What is your typical workout?

I try to hit legs 2 or 3 times a week, then hit back, shoulders/triceps, chest, and core. I like to take Gold's FIT and Gold's BURN classes after my own weight training some days. If I do cardio, I like to do either the Stairmaster or HIIT sprints.

What is the biggest misconception about personal training?

The biggest misconception about Personal Training would be that a trainer does not create customizable workouts for their client’s specific needs and limitations. I always ensure that each of my client’s have special workouts designed for their bodies and goals.

What advice do you have for people who hit a fitness plateau?

My advice would be to switch things up. You should move outside your comfort zone and do things you normally don't do, and perhaps work on your weaknesses.

What are your hobbies outside of working out?

My hobbies are reading, drawing, dancing, and playing basketball.

Advice for people struggling to start a healthy lifestyle?

Small changes are still changes. Even just getting a gym membership is a step in the right direction. Also, be open to learning from somewhere or someone.

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

I was an NPC bikini competitor and am national qualified.

What is your perfect day?

My perfect day would start with breakfast and a cup of hot coffee on a sunny day. This would be followed by leg/booty workout where I get lost in the music, get a fantastic pump, and sweat. I would then eat another meal to fuel my muscles with friend or my cousin and have great conversation. After that I would love to head to the beach to soak up some sun and then watch the sunset. At the end of the day, I would finish it off with dinner and glass of wine.
